STALLION SERVICE CONTRACT

1. Mare Owner hereby agrees to breed the mare:  Name____________________________________
   Registration No._____________________________ Breed________________________ Age ___________ Color_____________ to the Stallion __________________________________ standing at Bosen Land & Livestock in Preston, Idaho during the 20______breeding season.
    

2. Said mare is (please check and date all that apply): a maiden______ barren______ last bred____________
   in foal to______ last bred______ date foaled______ foals sire_______________________________
    

3. Bosen Land & Livestock does hereby reserve Mare Owner one seasons booking to said stallion for cover of said mare.
   In consideration of the reservation by Bosen Land & Livestock of said booking, Mare Owner shall pay to Bosen Land & Livestock a non-refundable booking fee in the amount of $_________ to accompany this Breeding Contract.
   This amount shall be applied against the stallion service fee of $__________, for said stallion, which Mare Owner agrees to pay in full at the time mare is released from premises. Said mare will not be released from premises until all bills (all services, boarding fees, veterinary fees, etc.) are paid.
    

4. Bosen Land & Livestock has Mare Owners permission to check said mare for normal breeding soundness and to render any treatment or immunization which may be necessary. The expense of this service will be charged to Mare Owners account.
    

5. A PHOTO COPY OF SAID MARES REGISTRATION PAPERS MUST BE RETURNED WITH THIS CONTRACT.
    

6. Bosen Land & Livestock guarantees a live foal. For this purpose a live foal is defined as one that stands and nurses after foaling. This guarantee will apply only if Bosen Land & Livestock is notified within forty-eight (48) hours from time of death. A STATEMENT FROM A LICENSED VETERINARIAN MUST FOLLOW WITHIN TWO WEEKS.
    

7. If the mare proves not to be in foal in the year bred or loses her foal as stated in paragraph 6 above or if the mare should die or become unfit to breed, Then Bosen Land & Livestock has the following options:

   1. Rebreed the same mare THE FOLLOWING YEAR if the mare is vet-checked sound for breeding.

   2. Request a substitute mare and breed her THE FOLLOWING YEAR or

   3. Refund any service fees paid less the non-refundable booking fee.
       

8. It is further agreed that should the above named stallion die or become unfit for service, Then the service fee paid less the booking fee shall be refunded.
    

9. Board for the mare (SAID MARE MUST BE HALTER BROKE) is $___________ per day.
    

10. Should Mare Owner fail to deliver said mare prior to July 15, 20______ Bosen Land & Livestock shall be under no further obligation with respect to any matter herein set forth.
     

11. Neither Bosen Land & Livestock nor its representatives will be responsible for any accident sickness or death to the mare and/or foal.  Bosen Land & Livestock will exercise their best judgment in supervision and care. Mare Owner will likewise not be responsible for any accident or injury to other horses on Bosen Land & Livestock premises.
     

12. Mare Owner agrees to pay all court costs, including reasonable attorneys fees, if any legal action is required to enforce any provision hereof.
     

13. The terms of this contract shall be governed by the laws of The State of Idaho
